INTRODUCTION
Zambia was the last Country to be discovered by foreign adventurers, however, in the last 25 years it became one of the major safari destinations in Africa. Formerly known as North Rhodesia, this Country is big, with an area larger than 750.000 Km². Several habitats are present such as wetlands, dense forests, thorny bushes like the Kalahoni‘s Desert – containing big and diverse species of animals.
The Country is one of the best for hunting elephants, lions, leopards and buffalos, as well as a great variety of plains games. Over there, are the biggest sables in Africa and also some species that are only found there, including the Kafue lechwe and the black lechwe.
A great effort has been put into practice in regarding of the conservation of species, which is a lot important for keeping tourism and the sustainable population of the species. For that reason, modest animal quotas are provided and a rigid control over the safaris’ industry is being deployed, which has been showing great results. The high percentage of success in Big 4 safaris (lions, leopards, buffalos and elephants) prove these outcomes.
Year after year, Zambia constantly changes its hunting regulations, therefore, contact us in order to know the current ones and all the opportunities.
