Tsessebe (Damaliscus Lunatus)
The Tsessebe can be found in regions of Zambia, North Botswana, South Zimbabwe, North Namibia and Northeast of South Africa. It is the fastest African antelope and lives in Groups of up to 30 animals, being commonly found with others “plains game”, such as the Wildebeest.
An adult Tsessebe can be 1,3 m to 1,5 m high (up to the shoulders). Males weigh up to 140 kg, while female reach 120 kg. Either the males or the females have horns, with the female specimens a little smaller. Its fur is dark brown and its face and tail are black.
