INTRODUCTION

This Country is extended through South America for about 3.000 Km and it is the second larger Country in the continent, after Brazil. It was blessed with varieties, either in habitats or in climate and also a great infrastructure. It is a habit saying that the whole South America is in one single Country. From its two big iced mountains and huge glaciers up to the tropical jungle, in the North of the Country, it covers all sceneries for this continent.

European Colonizers brought with them their hunting traditions, 2 centuries ago. As in Europe, the majority of the hunting performed in the Country, happens in private farms, where hunting and population control are managed by the farmers with recipes from centuries of experiences brought from their ancestors.

Several native species from Argentina were, helplessly hunted in the past Century and are now protected. However, thanks to the European colonizers who brought several species commonly found in Europe and in Asia that got adapted to the place and started multiplying themselves and are now the base of the prosperous hunting market in Argentina. Some native species still can be hunted, such as the pampas deer, capybara, cougar and wild boar. Some of those that were introduced are the red stag, fallow deer, axis deer, mouflon, blackbuck and Buffalo.

Hunting birds is also a great attraction for a visit to Argentina. Species like goose, quails, ducks and pigeons are available.
