Encounters with humans are also frequent. This one can reach 3,5m length, measuring from the tip of its muzzle to the tip of its tail.

Marked in history of the Country is the dictator Nikolai Ceaucescu, a fanatic hunter that declared illegal hunting bears in the Country so, thus, he could practice it without competition. It has been said that the number of bears slaughtered by Ceaucescu exceeds the hundreds. As a result of this action, Romania today is the Country with a major concentration of brown bears in Europe.

It is also a destination famous for its big population of red deers, for the biggest subspecies of Chamois, the Carducks’ Chamois and finally, for its enormous and numerous wild pigs, found with more than 200kg in the region.
