Roan (Hippotragus equinus)

The Roan is the second biggest African antelope, one of the most noble and it is not considered in plains game. They can measure around 2,5 m length, 1,3 m to 1,5 m high and weigh from 240 kg to 300 kg. It has a light yellow brown fur, with black stripes and white on the face. It is similar to the Sable and also forms Groups with only one dominant male.

These antelopes can be found in Cameroon, Republic Central African, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia.
