Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra )
The Chamois is widespread for multiple Countries in several continents due to its strength and high adaptation capacity and today is prosperous everywhere.
It is a medium sized animal where the adults can be 70 to 80 cm high (top of the head), length from 100 to 140 cm and weighs from 30 to 60 kg. Males are normally 20 % bigger than the female and the two genders are provided with beautiful and elegant pairs of horns that grow up and curve backwards on the tips, however, males have thicker horns.
In the summer its fur presents a rich chocolate brown pattern which gets light gray in the winter; has white marks on the sides of the face and strong black lists below the eyes. It has a white loin with a black line following the whole spine.
