Roe deer (capreolus capreolus)
The Roe Deer is a small sized animal that is found throughout the European continent and some Asian Countries.
It presents a relatively small size in comparison to other species of deer. They can have from 95-135 cm length, 65-75cm high on their shoulders and weigh between 20 to 35 kg. Only the male present horns which are pointed and with several tips, they can reach the 25 to 30 cm length. They have fur that varies according to the season of the year. In the summer present a red golden color and in the winter a dark color that may vary from dark brown to black.
The Roe Deer is more active in the breaking dawn and in the nightfall; they can live up to 10 years and are territorial animals.
