Springbok (Antidorcas marsupiallis)
This medium sized antelope is present in almost the whole South Africa, in Namibia and Botswana, in desert areas of Kalahari.
They live in Groups of up to 100 animals, with only one dominant male. Socialize with others Groups, and therefore they can be found in thousands ate one single area.
They can reach 90 cm high; males weigh between 35 kg and 50 kg and female from 25 to 35 kg. Both have horns, however, males present thicker and long horns.
There are three variations of colors between the Springbok:
- White Springbok: as its name suggests, is almost entirely white, with a yellower stripe in the area of the back;
- Common Springbok: tem have a white belly, yellow brown on the back and with brown chocolate lateral stripes;
- Black Springbok: presents a dark chocolate brown color on the back and lighter on the sides. It also has a white mark on the face.
