Mule Deer (odocoileus hemionus)

The Mule Deer is endemic from North America and your name is derived from the big ears, that resembling a mule. They are found in big numbers in the North of Mexico, West of the USA and West of Canada.

They have gray brown fur throughout the body and white stains in their neck and in the rear. Only males have horns which are flat and present several tips. They can weigh from 120 to 200 kg, be from 80 and 120 cm high on their shoulders and have 150 to 210 cm length. Females are 20 to 30 % smaller.
