Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus)
This Small African antelope is originating from South Africa and today, can be found in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana. The Klipspringer lives in mountainous areas and has hooves with the texture and softness of a rubber to walk in rocky terrains. Those characteristics make them different from any other African antelope.
Their height may vary between 45 cm and 55 cm (up to the shoulders), with a weight of 15 kg to 22 kg and pointed flat horns, that can reach 15 cm length in males. The female horns are smaller, but they are bigger physically.
The Klipspringer is usually found in pairs that get split and patrol the territory. They are more active in the sunrise and in the sunset; and their favorite habitat are the rocky terrains.
