Duiker (Cephalophinae)
There are several species of Duiker spread through several African Countries. They live close to the villages and to the men and its meat is very appreciated by human beings. With its small size, they can easily hide from predators in the tall vegetation woods, its favorite environment.
The color of the species varies according to the region they inhabit and they can be brown to gray, up to yellow and sometimes blue. It can reach a height of 50 cm and can weigh from 10 kg to 20 kg. The females don’t have horns and are usually heavier, however, the horns of the male can reach up to 10 cm.
The success of the species comes from its adaptability. Living in different habitats made them one of the most present antelopes in the African continent.
