Black Wildebeest (Connochaetes gnou)

The Black Wildebeest has smaller physical proportions and can measure from 1,1 m to 1,2 m high (up to the shoulders) and weigh up to 180 kg. This species has a dark chocolate-colored fur and in certain cases, almost black; they have an yellow tail (blond) and their horns grow on top of the their skull, going down up to the eye line to curve up where they rise upwards. They do not participate in the big migration and are more adapted the habitats in South Africa and big grasslands savannahs, which are their favorite environment.
